Overview

Broadcast Messaging allows Supervisors to send one-way announcements to all logged-in dispatchers. These messages appear as pop-ups in the dispatcher interface and are logged for auditing purposes.


Prerequisites

Supervisor role required.


Detailed Instructions

1. Access Broadcast Messaging

  • From the Dashboard, click Broadcast Messages.


2. Compose and Send Message

  • Enter the announcement text.

  • Keep messages short and action-focused.

  • Click Send to deliver the message to all active dispatchers.


3. View Sent Messages

  • Sent broadcasts are logged in the Audit Log, including:

    • Timestamp.

    • Sender.

    • Message content.


Best Practices

  • Use broadcasts for time-sensitive updates only.

  • Follow up broadcasts with documentation or policy links when applicable.

  • Avoid unnecessary broadcasts to prevent alert fatigue.
