🖥️ Multiview Feature Overview

What is it?

The Multiview feature allows users—especially dispatchers and supervisors—to monitor, manage, and act on multiple radio channels in a single, unified workspace. This is critical for maintaining situational awareness and responding to incidents efficiently across a wide operational environment.

🔑 Key Capabilities

Monitor multiple channels at once

  • View live transcriptions across several channels simultaneously.

  • Reflects real-world workflows where dispatchers typically monitor a handful of channels, not just one.

Channel selection and customization

  • Easily select or deselect the channels you want to monitor.

  • Resize channel tiles to prioritize certain feeds (e.g., one primary + three secondaries).

  • Smart layout adapts to your screen size for optimal usability.

Real-time, continuous transcription

  • Channels transcribe live audio continuously, even when not in focus.

  • Easily replay specific transmissions for review or clarification.

Incident stream across channels

  • Events are pulled into a centralized incident stream summarizing activity from all monitored channels.

    • Note: Incident summaries may contain duplicates since incidents are currently processed per channel.

  • View which channels contributed to each incident for added context.

  • Filter incidents or keywords by channel, with an option to default to "all channels."

Focused channel monitoring

  • Click into a specific channel to zoom in when a high-priority event occurs.

🚨 Why It Matters

The Multiview feature helps public safety teams:

  • Maintain situational awareness across a dynamic radio environment.

  • Act faster on critical calls without switching between multiple screens or tools.

  • Customize their workspace to reflect real-life operations and call prioritization.

    • This eliminates the need for multiple browser windows or workarounds, a common practice in many PSAPs today.
