Overview
Insights is a feature within Prepared that uses AI prompting to automatically surface critical information from a transcribed audio call. This feature works for any call with a transcript, regardless of the call’s nature. It provides real-time visibility into key call details, helping Dispatchers, Call-takers, and Supervisors access important information at a moment’s notice.
Why is it useful?
Clarification and Confirmation: Call-takers can quickly confirm or clarify information they might have heard incorrectly, reducing the back-and-forth with the caller.
Faster Information Entry: Call-takers can copy/paste key information from Insights into CAD or other systems, reducing the typing burden.
Improved Communication: Dispatchers can easily access important call details without relying on call-taker note-taking speed and accuracy.
At-a-Glance Visibility for Supervisors: Supervisors can view key call information without needing to read through the entire transcript.
What Type of Information Can Appear in Insights?
The information surfaced in Insights depends on the nature and content of the call transcript. Insights can include (but are not limited to):
ALI Location
Summary: A high-level overview of the call content.
“High Priority” Callouts: Such as weapons, drug/alcohol use, violence, or fire.
Medical Information:
Mental health conditions
Medications
Current medical status (e.g., conscious, bleeding, breathing, vomiting)
Person Description:
Name, age, clothing, race
Vehicle Description & License Plate:
Make, model, year, plate number, VIN number, etc.
Animal Description
Other Details
How Do Insights Display?
Insights automatically appear to the right of the Audio Transcript for all audio calls.
Even if the call is not in English, Insights will still display in the Insights pane.
How Does Insights Work?
Initial Overview: When you click into a call, Insights will generate an initial overview of key information within 15 seconds.
Live Call Updates: Throughout a live call, Insights will auto-analyze every 15 seconds, providing updated information based on the transcript.
Manual Updates: You can click the “Analyze” button to trigger additional Insights generation.
Call Conclusion: At the end of the call, Insights will automatically generate a complete overview of the call transcript.
Does Insights Work on Text & Media?
No, Insights is currently only generated from audio transcript content.
Can Starter/Plus Tier Customers Access Insights?
No, Starter and Plus tier customers must have Audio and Transcript Capture enabled to access Insights.

How quickly do Insights generate for a call?
When you click into a call, Insights will take about 15 seconds to generate an initial overview of key information mentioned thus far. Throughout a live call, Insights will auto-analyze every 15 seconds to provide updated information.
What kind of information can Insights surface?
Insights can include a variety of details, such as:
ALI Location
Medical information (e.g., mental health, medications)
Descriptions of people, vehicles, animals, and more
Do Insights work on text or media content?
Currently, Insights only work with audio transcript content. Text and media are not supported for generating Insights.
Can I manually trigger Insights during a call?
Yes, you can click the “Analyze” button to manually trigger additional Insights generation during the call.
Does Insights support multiple languages?
Insights currently supports only English and is generated based on the audio transcript of calls. If the call is not in English, Insights will still display in English.
