Overview
Canned Messages are pre-written messages dispatchers can quickly send to callers during live incidents. These messages ensure faster response times and consistent communication.
Prerequisites
✅ Supervisor or Administrator role required.
Step-by-Step Instructions
Accessing Canned Messages
From the Dashboard, click Settings.
In the left menu, click Canned Messages.
Editing Default Messages
Locate a message under Default Messages.
Click Edit to modify the text or assign a nature code (e.g., “911 Hang Up”).
Click Save Changes.
Creating a New Message
Click Add Canned Message.
Enter a name and the message content.
Assign a nature code (optional).
Preview your message and click Add Message.
Using Canned Messages in Incidents
Open an active incident.
Click Send Message and select from your canned messages list.
