Common CAD Integration Risks

Cause: ANET did not capture a required CAD field.

Fix: Switch to Suggested mode or adjust intent questions to capture the field.

Cause: ANET fields mapped to wrong CAD destinations.

Fix: Correct field mapping and re-test.

Cause: Intent logic creates an incident category that CAD does not support.

Fix: Adjust mapping logic or use a safe default.

Risk: CAD may not dedupe automatically.

Fix: Define agency workflow for duplicates; do not assume the integration prevents them.

Risk: Some CAD systems do not support updating existing calls from ANET events.

Fix: Treat CFS creation as a one-time submission unless explicitly supported.
