Test CAD Integration Safely

Step 1 – Run Controlled Test Calls

  1. Place test call.

  2. Trigger an intent configured to create a CFS.

  3. Provide:

    • Full caller contact information

    • Clear location

    • Clear incident details


Step 2 – Verify CFS Creation in CAD

  1. In CAD, locate the new record.

  2. Confirm:

    • Correct incident type (if applicable)

    • Location field populated correctly

    • Caller phone number formatted correctly

    • Remarks contain the expected summary

  3. Confirm record does not contain mis-mapped data (e.g., phone number in name field).


Step 3 – Verify CFS Status and Timeline in Triage

  1. Open the call in Triage.

  2. Locate CFS status indicator.

  3. Review timeline events:

    • Submission attempted

    • Submission accepted/rejected

  4. Confirm status aligns with what CAD shows.


Step 4 – Test Failure Scenarios

Test at least one call where a required field is missing.

  1. Place test call.

  2. Omit a required field (e.g., caller name).

  3. Confirm expected behavior:

    • Suggested mode: draft created for review, or

    • Automated mode: submission blocked and draft fallback occurs (if configured)

You must verify that failure does not silently produce incomplete CAD records.
