Configure CAD Integration
Note: The exact UI labels may vary by deployment. The steps below describe the required configuration sequence and validation checks.
Step 1 – Confirm CAD Integration Is Enabled for Your Agency
Navigate to Admin Settings → Integrations → CAD.
Confirm CAD integration is marked as enabled/active.
Confirm you can access:
Field mapping settings
Workflow mode settings
Status visibility in Triage
If you do not see CAD integration settings, it is not enabled for your agency.
Step 2 – Define Field Mapping (ANET → CAD)
Open CAD Integration → Field Mapping.
For each ANET field, select the CAD destination field:
Name → CAD Caller Name field
Phone → CAD Caller Phone field
Location → CAD Location field
Summary → CAD Remarks/Narrative field
Save mapping changes.
Document mappings in a configuration log.
Tip: Map the AI-generated summary into a CAD field intended for narrative/remarks, not a structured code field.
Step 3 – Configure Required Fields
Open CAD Integration → Required Fields.
Identify required CAD fields for CFS creation (agency-defined).
For each required field:
Confirm ANET captures it reliably, or
Configure the workflow to Suggested mode if capture is inconsistent
Save required field rules.
Required field enforcement prevents malformed records from entering CAD.
Step 4 – Select Workflow Mode (Automated vs Suggested)
Open CAD Integration → Workflow Mode.
Choose:
Automated CFS, or
Suggested CFS
Save configuration.
If using Automated mode, confirm you have a fallback plan for missing fields (draft fallback or transfer/resolution behavior).
Do not enable Automated CFS until field capture has been validated with real call patterns.
Step 5 – Confirm Status Visibility in Triage
Navigate to Triage settings (or call detail view configuration).
Confirm CFS status indicators are visible, such as:
Created
Pending / Suggested
Failed
Draft fallback (if used)
Confirm audit details include:
What fields were sent
Timestamp of submission
Any error codes returned
If statuses are not visible, troubleshooting becomes difficult.
