Prevent Call Looping

Call looping occurs when:

  • ANET transfers back to a number that forwards to ANET

  • Return line is misconfigured

  • Conditional forwarding rules overlap

How to Validate Loop Prevention

  1. Confirm forwarding rule only applies to external inbound calls.

  2. Confirm return line has zero forwarding.

  3. Place test call:

    • Trigger transfer.

    • Confirm call does not re-enter ANET.

  4. Monitor timeline for repeated transfer cycles.

Looping must be resolved before go-live.
