ANET may swap or preserve caller ID depending on configuration.

You must validate:

  • What number call-takers see

  • Whether original caller ID is preserved

  • Whether internal logic requires special handling

How to Test Caller ID Behavior

  1. Place test call from known mobile number.

  2. Trigger transfer to PSAP.

  3. Observe:

    • Caller ID displayed

    • Any formatting changes

  4. Confirm internal CAD or logging systems handle this correctly.

Caller ID confusion is often misdiagnosed as system failure.
