ANET enforces a maximum duration threshold.

If exceeded:

  • Guardrail activates

  • Call transfers via fallback

  • Transfer reason reflects duration cap

This prevents automation drift.


How to Adjust Duration Threshold (If Configurable)

  1. Navigate to Lifecycle Settings.

  2. Locate Maximum Duration parameter.

  3. Confirm:

    • Threshold aligns with agency tolerance.

    • It does not conflict with safety expectations.

  4. Save configuration.

  5. Monitor first 24 hours for spike changes.

Avoid aggressive reductions without review.
